Job Description

 Sales Development Executive - This is an excellent position in which to excel and develop the position further.

Job Purpose:  

To generate new business and growth for all services of our client business. 

To create opportunities & book appointments to generate new business by adopting a proactive approach and participating in an effective telesales campaign to maximise the profitable growth of the business by prioritising the market and targeting key customers


  1. To participate in an effective telesales campaign to maximise the profitable growth of the business by prioritising the market and targeting key customers.
  2. Agree targets on an on-going basis with the Business Development Manager and subsequently meet them, for the following key performance indicators; 
    1. Number of new prospects added to database;
    2. Number of prospective calls completed & attempted;
    3. Number of appointments booked;
    4. Number of failed appointments;
    5. Value of appointments and subsequent proposals produced;
    6. Value of new business won;
    7. Reasoning for lost business 
  3. To provide input to the Business Development Manager for inclusion in an on-going business plan for the Company based upon the company’s primary objective of continued and profitable growth
  4. Ensure all prospects are contacted on a regular basis to ensure opportunities are not missed.
  5. Ensure that all lost business is followed up and acknowledgement letters sent out, then to recall the prospect on a regular basis.
  6. Ensure all work quoted for is costed and approved in accordance with company procedures.
  7. Identify opportunities for the company to sell its other services.
  8. Actively promote the companies Quality Management System.
  9. As part of your job role you will be required to attend regular meetings so that development issues and opportunities may be discussed
  10. Any other reasonable duties the employer may require the employee to perform. 

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. No. of calls made on a daily / weekly / monthly basis
  2. Level of appointments booked each month
  3. No. of proposals generated each month
  4. Value of proposals generate each month
  5. Failure rate of appointments each month
  6. Sales generated each month
